The Federation of International Ninja Athletics (FINA) was formed with an emphasis on three major elements of competition:
- Quality
- Value
- Growth
Over the last five years, those elements have evolved into our Mission Statement:
- Competition
- Camaraderie
- Continuous Improvement
Competition:
To be able to walk into a FINA event anywhere in the world, regardless of where it is being held, and know what to expect is essential. FINA prides itself in event uniformity, without taking away the creativity or flavor of each gym.
By offering three distinctly different types of competitions (Speed, Endurance, and Ninja vs. Ninja), FINA strives to offer opportunities for success to a wide variety of athletes and skill sets.
Camaraderie:
Ninja’s roots are in the philosophy of the Ninja versus the Course. FINA works to keep that ideology by celebrating each athlete’s accomplishments individually, and not in relation to the other athletes.
Although FINA celebrates and encourages healthy competition, we emphasize that competition must exist within the overarching positivity and encouragement of the Ninja community. Our Code of Conduct for athletes, gyms, and FINA itself represent our commitment to maintaining and growing the camaraderie that this sport fosters.
Continuous Improvement:
Our athletes and their families, our Partner Gyms, and the sport of Ninja are the driving force behind any and all decisions made by FINA. Our Advisory Board helps us keep our focus on the direction this sport is taking and how FINA can best serve the future of Ninja.
We will always remain open to hearing from our community, and encourage our athletes to reach out to us at any time.
