Challenge other ninjas in head-to-head races down identical courses to determine who the ultimate all-around ninja!
FINA Ninja vs. Ninjas courses will consist of two lanes of eight to ten obstacles (both upper and lower body) that are identical in obstacles and distances.
Ninja vs. Ninja events consist of two tiers of runs:
Prelims: Each athlete will run one seeding run during which traditional FINA rules are in effect – every point that you can earn in the time limit counts towards your score! The scores from the seeding round will be used to determine the run order for the double elimination bracket.
Finals: Athletes will run in a double elimination bracket to determine the ultimate winner in each division. In a double elimination bracket, an athlete must lose TWICE to be eliminated. This means that every athlete is guaranteed at least two runs in the Finals bracket. Two athletes will race on the courses to determine a winner for each race. Bracket races are “fall and you’re out” meaning that the athlete will NOT accrue points on the course. The athlete who goes the furthest the fastest is the winner of that race!
The winner of each division will automatically qualify for entry to the FINA Ninja vs. Ninja Finals in Dallas, July 10-12, 2025.
